New challenge ahead.

Now I need to learn how to work this little beast of a machine, then I’m on my way. Introducing the newest member to my studio, my small but mighty 3018 Prover CNC. With any luck, this little darling will be able to carve out woodblock prints using my vectorized drawings. I just love combining traditional printing methods with new technology, whilst retaining an artisan approach to my work.

Learning how to vectorize my drawings.

So, after a steep learning curve, I have finally become comfortable in producing vectorized images based on my graphite sketches. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Whilst I feel that I still have a long way to go until I have mastered this art, I am content with the results that I have achieved thus far.

Putting myself out there.

Join me as I navigate my way into the world of letterpress. I’m currently in the process of starting my small home business venture Imbue Letterpress Printmaking. This has been a dream of my mine for the last seven years, however raising young children meant that I decided to put this dream on hold… until now. Now normally one would wait until they finished their studies before embarking in their chosen field. Nevertheless, I am determined to take the leap and start my business whilst I continue my studies. At some stage I would like to offer graphic design services to compliment my business, but for now I will specialise in greeting cards, gift tags and invitations. I am currently in the process of making stock to sell, in the meantime I hope that you will be content to observe my progress before I officially launch Imbue Letterpress Printmaking.
